TEST SOFTWARE MANAGER / COUNTY DURHAM / £NEG
* Test Software Manager sought to lead a team of Software developers in design, implementation & maintenance of automated test solutions for use in a high volume manufacturing environment
* Significant experience managing a Software development team essential along with:
* Proven knowledge/exp in a product development or high volume-manufacturing environment
* Familiar with NPI processes
* Strong familiarity with ATE test methods
* Exp in electronics/microelectronics or telecomms
* Exp setting-up/commissioning new test stations & debugging measurement problems
* Strong LabVIEW skills & exp of TestStand
* Knowledge/exp of GPIB, RS232 & I2C communications
* Used ODBC databases to store parametric data
* Work effectively on large multi-developer projects
* Able to write SQL procedures for data retrieval/analysis
* Knowledge of networking in Windows environment
* Exp using ActiveX for control of external applications
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop the software strategy
- Manage SW Team, ensuring projects delivered on time/within budget
- Review internal test requirements; Develop verification test applications to demonstrate product compliance
- Design/implement LabVIEW based applications using common design patterns & utilising code-reuse to support verification test of new products
- Use WATS data mining tool to support new product verification
- Plan/organise/manage the team to meet project requirements
- Identify/communicate SW/Test risks to senior managers
- Lead SW design reviews
- Support/guide manufacturing engineering team in regression testing production SW changes
DESIRABLE:
* Exp in RF Design or manufacturing environment working with frequencies up to 40GHz
* Version Control Systems
* MS SQL Server 2000 / 2005 administration
* Exp performing RF measurements, manually/through use of ATE systems
* Good understanding of Data Acquisition hardware
* Use of Windows API
